Tiny experiment: counting the ordinary
I’ve been thinking about how much of a day is made of small counts: steps, sips, pauses, tabs open, windows lit. A simple experiment: pick one ordinary thing and count it for an hour.
Not to optimize it—just to notice it.
For example: how many times do you reach for a cup? How often do you glance at a clock? How many unfinished thoughts do you carry from one room to another?
The result might be boring, and that seems useful too. Boring data can still reveal a pattern.
